so, i don't know if there are other pet lovers out there but i thought i'd start a pet thread since everyone likes to gush about their pets!

my cat, peetie, is a rescue i got one year ago from the humane society. i went to the shelter and was looking at all the cats when this one, very slow moving and spiritless cat appeared behind me. i picked him up - he was just barely 7 pounds- and he didn't move. he just stayed in my arms, resigned. i held him for a while, then put him down, where he instantly moved away from the other cats and sat alone. on his chart it said he had been there for a month and for each week he was there, he had lost a pound from not eating due to stress. he was over 10 years old and no one wants an old, sick cat. he was dying in there

turns out, he's the best cat i've ever had. now that he's not stressed out, his personality has come through. his favorite thing to do is this...go into the bathroom with you. i don't know where he picked up this fetish, but the second you are heading to the bathroom he jams over from wherever he is to get inside. then he wants you to pet him while you do your duty. it's very weird and i don't mind it.

and his full name is officially "peetie pumpkin angel cupcake pudding legs" or "MVB", short for "martin van buren". i call him MVB because he has the biggest mutton chops on a cat i've ever seen. his legs are so furry but taper down at his paws that he also looks like he's wearing pantaloons/bloomers if you see him from the back.

Omgg that sounds so cuteee! I love cats haha. My cat, Biscuit, is really old...getting to the end of his 9 lives ]: He's really dopey haha. When I'm trying to park, he'll dart away only to sit in the space that I want to reverse into. Upon almost getting run over, instead of moving to a more suitable resting place, he will start licking himself. I usually have to get out of the car to move him =__=

There's also this adorable group of baby-fox triplets who I count as my pets because they're always waiting on the hill outside my house for when I get home haha (even though they scatter after that xD )
