Hey everyone! So my school is having a mvc3 tournmemt on Friday and all the money it raises goes to japan via red cross. In going to enter it but the problem is I've never played mvc3 before haha(I've always wanted it but never actually gotten a chance to pick it up;now i have a reason haha so I'm going to pick it up later today) Can you guys give me a few tips and tell me what chracters are best and go good togeter? Thanks guys. I know I won't win but I at least want to get to round 4 xD. If I can make it there I win(in my own way haha)

I'd like tips from anyone really =] I've played mvc2 and liked it but I've heard 3 is different =[ lol. Quick just tell me the cheapest chracters and I'll spam in simple mode > lmao

As for cheap chars, I don't think there really is any... Every char is good and has a counter for them... Try using Sentinel/Tron/Phoenix Mash Tron Fire Gustaff Assist until you get a hit and combo with Sent. Save your 5 metes for x-factor level 3 spammy Dark Phoenix

My advice is not to use simple mode. The moves are easier to perform but you have less control over them. I think Dante, Sentinel and a third character that plays well with those two would be a good beginner team. Sentinel is just plain cheap and Dante has a buttload of moves that are easy to do and do decent damage. With Dante try this: weak, mid, strong, launcher, jump up and repeat in the air (minus launcher), qcf strong. when the move connects do your qcf super for lots of damage.

she has the worst health out of everyone. jz can kill me so quickly when i use her.

I will practice that Dante combo thanks. The team I like is spiderman deadpool and Dante. Is this a good team?

I have to recommend this at my school, it's an excellent idea Right now we are raising money up for Japan by selling red and white ribbons, but I gave the idea to sell wristbands like the ones by Bungie, and they loved it So we'll probably do that, but in honor of Japan's video games, I will try getting a video game tourny.

good luck with it! I'm sure lots of people will sign up if you pick a popular video game. I reccomend brawl because almost every gamer has that(both casual and hardcore) and it wouldn't have a system conflict since it's only for wii. I'm lucky my school is using a ps3 and not 360 =P lol
