Once again, I'm going to post a big long thing about my holiday, which no-one will read and everyone will skip to the pictures =__= I did originally have some pictures of me, but Nitoh helpfully told me they were way too sexy, and so I have taken them down
So we had arranged to do a convoy thing (NOT my idea =__= ) so we packed up the car and set off to meet up at the nearest service station to me. The rest of the trip consisted of me following my gf's dad, who is AGONISINGLY slow, and who doesn't trust maps, choosing to trust his trusty sat nav, which ended up adding an entire hour onto the journey because it's stupid and I hate it. We missed the junction we were meant to turn off on, so I got Vicky to call him up, to which his response was "Don't you worry, it's fine". And because I wasn't given the exact address (we're in CONVOY! I don't need it!) I couldn't even turn off and take the sensible route ;^;
Yeah. Yeah, I'm still bitter. It was a 5 hour journey anyway >:[
Also, we saw this, which made me giggle:
That was the town name. Honest to God haha. Westward Ho! There was also a place called Tally Ho! but we didn't get a picture :[
Anyway, we got there, and it was an amazinggg house. I didn't manage to get shots of the exterior, or any room other than the living room, but wow. It's all wood and dim lighting, totally lovely. Parking was horrible though, and it was a steep walk down to where the house was, but wow, totally worth it.
Day2:
We went down to Hartland Bay, and ohmygosh, it was GORGEOUS. I mean, reallyy. I'll let the pictures talk.
that's my love :love1:
I also had a picture of me before Nitoh persuaded me not to post it
Day 3:
I can't rememberr. Stuff happened.
OH we went down toe Exeter and did shopping for gifts for people (Vicky shopped, a trailed along and whined a lot) and then ate at Wagamama
Day 4:
I can't remember what we did exactly on day 4, so I'll pretend this is the day we went to the otter reserve park! yay!
Pictures and Videos because I'm lazy.
BAMBIS! It's like a reserve park, except all they have are a few rickety fences along a big path in the middle of the woods, as well as some Owl enclosures. They had all the wildcats, wallabies (I KNOWWW) and deers just running around wherever they liked.
This was amazing. A big herd of deer were relatively close to us, so we started throwing food in their general direction, hoping they'd come close enough for a picture. and they came right up to us!! I have a video of Vicky feeding them, as well as a 3 legged deer, but Youtube won't upload it because of the file type ]:
Otter! I also had a way cool video of them trying to kill each other, but again, youtube sucks ]:
Day 5:
Rainy and horrible >:[ We went out to...somewhere. And we did a thing. And ate in a horrible little cafe ;^; And finished buying stuff. Oh, and we went to this place called St Kitt's Herbery, which sold amazinggg herb chocolates. Lavender chocolates, rose chocolates, violet chocolates, Coriander, Chilli, Coffee, you name it, they made it. Expensive though.
Day 6:
Our last day! We went to the Lavendar Tea Room and it was amazing. I had this crazy salad with grape, artichoke, orange, apple, and lavender in it. And Vicky ordered this amazing Lavender cordial, which tasted so gooood but she didn't like it, so we swapped drinks. She also bullied me into buying lots of scones, Cornish clotted cream and Cornish cider, because it's so good down there haha.
Oh, and we saw lesbian cows and the way back. Way cool.
