I hate at&t they always overchanged me and then said they were sorry, then refunded my money. I just want to know if they are going to buy sprint, so I can cancel my contract.

but won't t-mobile services/coverage still stay the same? it's the customer service that you will have to have from AT&T now, but i doubt they will dismantle any T-Mobile cell phone towers. you'll still use the t-mobile network, just it will now be called "AT&T"

i doubt your coverage quality will change. what you pay, customer service, etc will. and if a lot of people jump ship then all go to, say, sprint, well then sprint will start to have the extra problems that come from a ton of people showing up.

it should remain the same at least until the end of the year. the deal will not officially close until next year, so at least they are okay for now. i guess it's partial good news for tmo customers since they'll get improved coverage since tmo and at&t use compatible radios. their whole idea is to consolidate both networks into one when they officially roll out their 4G LTE network towards the end of the year.

Why are you people complaining about this so much

Like Drooly said, they are combining the cell-phone towers of both At&t and Tmobile, how is that bad? You'll have more coverage dammit!

i hope it doesn't go through. T-mobile & AT&T are the ONLY GSM providers in the US, this would totally be monopoly in the GSM field. I prefer GSM service since I can use a sim card, and I can buy unlocked phones and use it. Also, T-mobile lets me unlock my phone as long as I've been with them for a few months if I tell them I'll be going out of the country. Which helps A LOT when I'm traveling.

And this isn't good because, like I said, monopoly in a single type of service field. And AT&T's customer service SUCKS. I've stuck with T-mobile over the years because, well they're pretty good in the midwest, and they have GREAT costumer service. I've had them since they were voicestream =[

And also, it would mean much higher prices. T-mobile has relatively reasonably/cheaper price for their services. AT&T is a RIP OFF.

Hmm, I see. I understand you, but it all depends on the plan you get. Also, the customer service for us is great. Once, a cell phone of ours broke. We called them, and they understood. In about 5-6 days, we had a new phone. They also answered a lot of our questions without hesitation when we were noobs... =/
I hope At&t combines all the great things you got from T-Mobile, Yingz, sounds like you had something great there. I'm sorry though, but once this kind of stuff goes out, it basically is already done.
