So right now I have the choice of an iPhone or an Android. If iPhone, I would wait until the 5th generation. If Android, I would get one of the best models (AT&T). I've reviewed a lot of both, and they're both really good. I might just go with iPhone, but I want to know what you guys think of both phones.

Android allows developers to code whatever they want so you can find a lot of free games. That being said, iphone apps are much safer because apple checks them before putting them on the market. Some android apps may not be too safe, but they tell you what they app wants to have access to so you don't have to download it if it looks suspicious. I was able to tether my phone (use the phone's internet on the computer) on android without having to buy a thing. I think that says a lot about the things android can do. My phone doesn't even run android natively; I have windows mobile but I can boot android because someone was able to port it to my phone model. The possibilities are endless because what doesn't exist, someone can make. There are people who use android to control their home devices (they are geeky programmers though, lol). Anyways, I do think iphones are overrated, but they have a huge market because of it. If you're planning to jailbreak your iphone and you plan to play a lot of games, then you might as well get the iphone. If not, I think android has much more value in terms of flexibility. In short, if you're geeky, get an android. If you're a casual user (like mac people), then get an iphone

I heard about that, Nova... but I heard the apps/games weren't as high quality as iPhone, so I was a bit doubtful. Can't you get most of the cool apps you see on the Google Store in the App Store? And truly, I don't plan on using my cell phone other than to surf the web quickly, play casual but fun games (Angry Birds cough cough), text, have easy access to my music (which is not a huge problem since I have an iPod, but it would be nice to have everything in one place), and have a sleek, simple user interface. What would be considered the full use of both phones? Like, what major use those one have that the other doesn't? iPhone I know a lot about since my dad has one, but I know there's other stuff that I haven't seen, so I really want to hear more about Android, but more of comparing the two. And, last thing, which one has a friendlier use interface? Easier to multitask, find something, do or edit something, touch sensitivity, etc. Thanks guys!

I think if you're going casual and you already have iTunes, go for iPhone. I've been using both phones here and I feel the iPhone has a better UI, has better flow design and better quality aps. it does miss out on some things (no flash) but that has never impacted me. if you're not going to tether your phone or develop on it, get iPhone. the industrial design is way better (if you care about that sort of thing, which I do) and the app market is still better on iPhone for now. droid is more versatile but I dont think it's in the areas that interest you. also nova, I will show you my friends phone at work. he runs Linux on it lol it's not a droid tho, I forgot what it was

When my contract with AT&T expired, I was thinking about switching over to an android phone. A lot of my friends who had them complained a lot about an extremely short battery life, crashes, glitches, and technical issues. Others loved them too, though. I would wait and get an iphone. The next generation will probably have some really cool new stuff. I was hoping for this summer but it might not be out until the fall. The only feature that I wish the iphone supported was voice recognition, or whatever its called xD If I'm trying to find directions or a number while Im driving, it would be a lot more convenient to hit a button and just say what I'm looking for.

Thanks Drooly I think I will go with the iPhone. Thank you too Nova Oh and Cutey, I might as well wait since I'm going to Venezuela in July, so if I take it with me... well, yeah, you get the picture. XD It still sucks that it might come out as late as September though.

yes, stick to the iphone. android is good but it has it's problems (ie. random restarts, confusing interface, etc.). iphone is much more refined and user friendly. plus, iphone has better games. personally, i can't wait to get rid of mine. i need to go back to a blackberry cause i can't stand using the onscreen keyboard anymore.

Let's both get an iPhone, Seven, and then lets text each other without Mono ever knowing. And the iPhone's keyboard is so responsive too Thanks for the tips everyone! I'm definitely getting an iPhone now, or should I say, lamPhone.

But but.... I have At&t and we love it. I've been playing around with friend's Androids, and I don't like them that much... and I even asked them if I should get a Droid or an iPhone, and they said iPhone.

It randomly shuts down and drains the battery like heck if you run it. But it's pretty stable when it's up. I like using it much more than windows mobile. Windows mobile has... nothing XD You don't have to erase the os. Just stick it on your SD card so you can run it whenever you want. When you restart your phone, I'll go back to windows mobile. |

| Beto, no way AT&T SUCKS! It's ridiculously expensive too. And the charges that come with an iphone's services are ridiculous.
o0o0o nova, where'd you find out about that? care to share a website or something? Cause the only stuff I found was wiping my os and then installing it. I really didn't wanna do that, and that's why I've hesitated until now. But I want the freedom of an andriod, and with my going to KR & HK soon.. I need some apps that are on andriod and not on windows. Windows has jack shit T_T

As far as I know, most plans are similarly priced from carrier to carrier nowadays. I think iphone was more expensive when it first came out, but now most smart phones are pretty comparable price wise. It seems like most carriers have the tiny plan, I hope I don't go over my allotted txts, minutes etc. Then the next one up from that is the unlimited everything Sprint seems to be the cheapest, but they have the worst service by far. I've had great service with AT&T in the South and now back up in New England.

Exactly what Cutey said. We have unlimited everything, which comes out more economic. And the iPhone's services are $30 extra a month... which is not too bad since it lets you do so much, but I agree it costs a bit. But well, they are smart phones. XD And how do people complain about At&t's prices and deals if Verizon's are even more expensive?
